Summary:  This article focuses on Scoop-It for content curation.  This article gives an in depth explanation of what content curation is how you can go about establishing your own content curation project.  Since this is a big part of this course, I find this article invaluable for developing my own project.  This article also explains how to choose a topic for curation.  Scoop-it is a tool that incorporates social media into curation and allows the creator to choose information they think is relevant to their topic.

 

Criteria:  The criteria I used to evaluate this source is:  show me why this tool is better than others in the same field.  This article defines content curation and shows how Scoop-It can be used in developing your own content curation project.  This article seems to go right along with what we have been learning in this class.

 

Recommendation:  The resource should be read if you are considering Scoop-It as a possible curation tool.  The fact that is incorporates so many other social media tools makes it seem like the ideal tool for curation projects.  From what this article says, it will be difficult to find a tool as valuable as Scoop-It for content curation.
